What does a real estate prospecting credit actually cost?
Most prospecting tools price by the seat, by the month, or by some vague "credits per tier" structure that makes it hard to know what a single enriched lead actually costs you. LeadCove publishes the number directly. One credit = one prospect enriched (owner name, verified phone, email, DNC flag, joint-owner data). Add a real dollar figure to that credit, and you have a unit cost you can put in a spreadsheet next to your closed-listing revenue.
This post is the math, fully transparent: what each pack costs, what each credit inside that pack costs, and which configuration fits which use case. No tricks, no hidden auto-renewal, no expiration on what you buy.
The four packs in one glance
The pattern is clean: buy more, pay less per credit. The Trial pack lets you sample at 50 cents a lookup; the Volume pack drops the effective cost to 20 cents per enriched prospect. Same data delivered either way — multi-phone with per-phone DNC pills, joint-owner data, LLC unmasking, email discovery. Pack size only changes the per-credit cost, not the data quality.
How packs work alongside your monthly plan
Every paid LeadCove account starts with a monthly subscription: Starter $29/mo, Pro $49/mo, or Power $99/mo — each with its own included monthly credit allowance (see the pricing page on the main site for the per-tier numbers). Plan credits refresh every billing cycle. They're sized for your typical month.
Packs are for the months that aren't typical. The 12 days you decide to canvass an entire building. The week you pull 400 expireds in a quarterly batch. The investor sprint where you work a whole ZIP for a single off-market acquisition. When you hit your monthly plan limit and still have leads to call, you top up with a pack.
Three things to know about pack credits specifically:
- No auto-renewal. You buy a pack once. It doesn't recharge automatically. No surprise charge on your card next month.
- No expiration. Pack credits sit in your account until you spend them. If you buy a Volume pack in May and don't touch it until August, those credits are still there.
- Stacks on top of your plan. Plan credits get used first each month (they refresh anyway), then pack credits draw down. Maximizes the value of your plan AND your packs.
How packs compare on a per-credit basis
Per-credit cost only applies to packs. The monthly plans (Starter, Pro, Power) are flat-rate subscriptions to the LeadCove platform — full dashboard, Mission Control CRM, Follow Up Boss sync on Pro & Power, recurring delivery, support. The included credits come with the plan but the plan itself isn't priced per credit. Packs are pure credit volume, so they are the unit you can compare per credit.
| Pack | Cost | Credits | Per credit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Trial pack | $10 | 20 | $0.50 |
| Starter pack | $20 | 50 | $0.40 |
| Pro pack | $50 | 175 | $0.29 |
| Volume pack | $100 | 500 | $0.20 |
The Volume pack is the cheapest per-credit option at 20 cents each — 2.5× cheaper than the Trial pack and the lowest unit price we offer.
Real scenarios — when to buy which pack
Scenario 1 — "I'm new and just want to try it"
Start the 7-day Starter trial (10 credits, $0 today, $29 on day 7 unless you cancel). That's enough to enrich and test the workflow on a real list before committing. If you finish those credits and want more runway before day 7, grab a Trial pack ($10, 20 credits) — it stacks on top of trial credits and persists if you convert to paid.
Scenario 2 — "I had an unusually big week"
You're on the Pro plan and you decide to canvass a 120-unit building. Your plan covers 50 credits a month; you need another 70. Buy a Starter pack ($20, 50 credits) plus a Trial pack ($10, 20 credits) — that's exactly 70 more credits at $0.43 per credit blended. No surprises, no expiration on what's left over.
Scenario 3 — "Quarterly expired-listings sprint"
Many agents work expireds in batches — a few hundred at a time, every few months. If you're pulling 300 expireds in one sitting and you're on Pro, the plan covers 50 credits and you need 250+ more. The Pro pack ($50, 175 credits) plus a Starter pack ($20, 50 credits) gets you there at $0.31 blended, with credits left over for the next batch.
Scenario 4 — "Investor sourcing a market"
Investors working a 1,000-property target zone benefit most from the Volume pack. $100 for 500 credits = $0.20 per enriched lead, the lowest unit cost we offer. Combine with any plan tier; packs draw down after plan credits.
What you're actually paying for, per enriched lead
It's easy to look at the per-credit cost and forget what's delivered for it. Every enriched lead returns:
- Owner name(s), including the human behind LLCs and trusts.
- Multiple verified phone numbers (typically 3–5 per owner).
- Per-phone DNC and TCPA-litigator flags — the compliance signals that prevent $500 to $1,500 TCPA fines per call.
- Multiple email addresses ranked by likely deliverability.
- Joint-owner data when a property is co-owned (spouse, partner, family).
- Property attributes — equity estimate, years held, owner-occupied flag, and more, captured from the source data at no extra charge.
For context, paid lookups with the same depth of data — multi-phone, compliance flags, entity unmasking — typically run between $0.30 and $2.00 per lookup if you go direct to the underlying providers. LeadCove bundles the lookups, runs them through compliance scrubs, adds the dashboard layer, and delivers the result for as little as 20 cents on the Volume pack.
The "no data, no charge" iron rule
One more piece of the math nobody else publishes: if our lookup returns no usable contact data, we don't charge a credit. Ever. So the per-credit cost above is the cost per successful enrichment, not the cost per attempt. Miss rates don't tax your balance.
For a typical residential list, the hit rate runs 85–95%. For LLC-owned commercial property, it's slightly lower. Whatever the hit rate, you pay for hits — the misses are on us.
The simple decision tree: if you regularly burn through your monthly plan, upgrade the plan. If you occasionally hit a busy month, buy a pack and keep the smaller plan. The Volume pack alone, at $0.14 per credit, is the cheapest prospecting data you can buy from any compliance-clean vendor — period.
How to buy a pack
Inside the dashboard, the Buy credits button sits below your monthly credit pill in the sidebar. One click opens the pack picker. Secure checkout handles the payment; credits land in your account within seconds. No phone calls, no sales rep, no "request a demo." Same self-serve flow as the rest of LeadCove.
You can also let your monthly plan handle most volume and only reach for packs when needed. Many agents go three or four months on plan-only, then buy a Volume pack ahead of a heavy quarter. Whatever shape your prospecting takes, the per-credit cost is published, the math is yours to do, and there's no auto-renewal sneaking up on you.
The bottom line
A real estate prospecting credit on LeadCove costs between 14 cents and 49 cents depending on how you buy it. The cheapest path is the Volume pack at $0.14 per credit. The most expensive is the Starter plan's marginal cost at $0.49 — and even that includes the dashboard, the compliance scrubs, the LLC unmask, and the CRM integrations on top of the data itself.
Any prospecting habit that lands a single deal a year is paying for the tool five hundred times over. Most working agents land multiple deals from a clean enriched list. The math has never been hard. It just hasn't been published this clearly anywhere else.
