How the 7-day trial works

Last updated 2026-05-20

Short version: $0 today, 10 credits to try, $29 on day 7 unless you cancel. Card on file required. One-click cancel from your dashboard before day 7 means no charge, ever.

The 5-second summary: Pick the Starter trial → enter your card at secure checkout (charged $0 today) → use 10 credits to enrich real prospects for 7 days → on day 7 the Starter plan kicks in at $29/month with 15 credits, unless you cancel from Settings → Subscription first.

What you get during the trial

What happens on day 7

Your card on file is charged $29 automatically, and your Starter monthly allowance unlocks (15 credits per cycle, refreshes monthly).

We send a reminder email 3 days before day 7 so it's never a surprise. The reminder includes:

How to cancel before day 7

One click from your dashboard:

  1. Open Settings (bottom-left of the sidebar)
  2. Go to Subscription
  3. Click Cancel

No charge. No retention call. No questions. Your account stays usable through the end of your trial period (so if you cancel on day 3, you still have access through day 7), then it closes cleanly.

What if my 10 trial credits run out before day 7?

Buy a credit pack from Settings → Buy credits. Packs start at $10 for 20 credits and stack on top of your trial. Pack credits never expire — if you convert to paid on day 7, the unused pack credits carry forward.

The four packs:

Why we ask for a card up front

Card-on-file does two things:

  1. Filters tire-kickers. Agents who genuinely want to try the product complete this step in 60 seconds. People who were never going to buy don't bother — and that means our paying customers aren't subsidizing time-wasters.
  2. Makes day 7 frictionless. If you love LeadCove and want to keep going, you don't have to dig out a card mid-prospecting-session. The Starter plan just kicks in.

If you don't enter a card at checkout, the trial doesn't start. The button only routes through secure checkout — we never see or store card numbers ourselves.

Common questions

Can I switch tiers during the trial? Yes — from Settings → Subscription, change to Pro or Power. The new tier takes effect immediately (replacing the trial); you're charged that day for the new tier's first month.

Can I do a second trial later if I cancel? One trial per account. If you cancel and re-subscribe, you'd start as a paid customer on day 1 (no trial). If you want to come back later, you can always re-enable on any tier.

What if I want a longer trial? Email [email protected] — we handle special cases for brokerage teams and agents new to prospecting tech case-by-case.

What if my trial credits are wasted on no-data lookups? They're not. Our no data, no charge rule applies during the trial too. If we can't find a usable contact for an owner, you don't pay a credit. Your 10 credits = 10 actual enrichments.

How do I confirm my trial is active? Look at the credit pill in your sidebar — during trial it shows "10 credits · trial". Once the day-7 charge succeeds, it switches to "15 credits · Starter".
